In this class you’ll enjoy experiencing relaxed alertness through this guided practice of Yoga Nidra with will help train you to make powerful changes in your life from the strong foundation of compassionate responsiveness. You’ll leave feeling rested, alive, and ready to live a beautiful life.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We come together and check in as everyone gets settled in. We spend time in meditation. We come back together and share our experiences. We have a beautifully formed community and welcome new members to our community.

WHAT IS NEEDED

Yoga mat, pillow/cushion, eye pillow (not necessary, but helpful), blanket, earbuds (not necessary, but effective), and anything you need to be comfortable.

Yoga Nidra

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is the state of conscious deep sleep. This is a restorative form of guided meditation that facilitates entry into this state. It is where the mind remains conscious while the body experiences the effects of deep sleep. For most people, Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down, however, you can take any position that allows your body to feel comfortable and supported (this is important for those who experience pain).

Yoga Nidra is that moment where your busy mind surrenders and “falls” asleep each night, except that in Yoga Nidra, the mind stays aware and witnesses the body sleeping. 

Yoga Nidra refers to the sleep of the yogis—conscious deep sleep.
