Friday Feeling

Oh what a feeling! Weekly messages from our practitioners and team from Bridging the Gap Wellness Center.

Why Retreats are so beneficial?

Starting off as strangers and leaving with some beautiful connections. And now some friendships, to last a lifetime. We cried. We laughed. We shared so much last weekend.

For the first time in two years, I hosted a Chakradance Women’s Retreat at Nature’s Harmony Ecolodge

These Retreats that I offer are always all-inclusive with home-cooked meals. We work collectively to get the food ready, table set, and clean up done.

We dive in deep to connect with our inner-self for our own inner healing. This healing looks different all the time. Some experience immediate transformation while others add on to their ongoing transformations. And some still have more steps to take care of.

While we have the opportunity to create this inner work, we also have the opportunity to connect with nature in all its glory. Some come with the good, which include walks, sauna, and wildlife experiences. And the crazy Northern Ontario weather that keeps us guessing.

This is my first experience in the Spring at Nature’s Harmony Ecolodge, and wow was it muddy! But this muddy experience forced us to venture further on foot where we were able to capture some beautiful scenery.

With all of that though, why even attend a Women’s Retreat? What are the benefits?

When women gather together POWERFUL things happen. Energetically we hold space for each other. We support each other. Most importantly, we grow together. The ah-ha moments we experience are like non-other. Hearing each other’s revelation at the end of this weekend is truly incredible.

Although being exhausted at the end of the Retreat brings us rejuvenation by the end weekend. It is truly a remarkable experience that I look forward to as a facilitator.

Check out my upcoming Women’s Retreats, The Art of Living – July 22-24 and Rhythm For Your Soul – September 9-11.

15 Benefits of Going on a Women’s Retreat

Have you ever wondered why women’s retreats are so popular? It’s because of ALL of the amazing benefits that come from going on a retreat!

If you keep getting signs that it’s time for a women’s retreat but you think, “I’m not sure if it’s really for me.”, or think, “What the benefits of going on retreat are”, then here’s 15 reasons why you NEED to make it happen.

CONNECT WITH NATURE

Beautiful natural places are usually where most women’s retreats take place. Women’s retreat is THE BEST way to get away from the craziness of life! Surrounding yourself in nature on a deeper level and immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.

DISCONNECT FROM TECHNOLOGY

Going on a women’s retreat is a perfect excuse to disconnect from technology and get back to basics. Be in the moment!

EVALUATE YOUR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES

Stressed out? Take a step back and evaluate where you’re at. When we’re too close to the situation, it’s difficult to make decisions. Going on retreat can give you the benefit of distance and help you to reevaluate.

STOP OVERTHINKING

When that hamster wheel won’t shut down, you need to do then a women’s retreat gives you a great opportunity to stop overthinking. Meditation is often part of a retreat program. This gives you time to learn or enhance the skill of meditation.

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE ENERGY

A women’s retreat is a vacation full of positive energy! One of THE BEST  features of a retreat. Just embrace the positive vibes coming your way and no worries about vacation stress.

FIND HEALING

A women’s retreat can be healing for your mind, body, emotion, and spirit. Going on retreat can help you to deal with any emotional and mental issues you may be having.

EMBRACE FEAR

A retreat is a safe place to be guided through fears about the things we care about the most. Harness, remove it and replace fear with positive energy.

REALLY RELAX

On a women’s retreat, you can really escape and have nothing to do but concentrate on the retreat. Sometimes it’s difficult to disconnect when planning a vacation, it can be hard work.

TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF

It can be difficult to really take a moment just for ourselves. You can also use it as an opportunity to be alone. Retreats are designed to give you the opportunity to take time for yourself, and are a TOP REASON to go on a retreat!

MEET NEW PEOPLE

A benefit of attending a women’s retreat is being able to create new friendships and connections with like-minded people who will add positivity to your life.

LEARN TO MEDITATE

A women’s retreat will give you a space to meditate fully, without any distractions, and focus more deeply. It will often teach you different ways to meditate. Going to a class is relaxing and you go back to your busy home life. A retreat gives that sense of relaxation throughout the rest of the day, and the retreat in general.

RETURN REFRESHED

Have you been on a vacation and come home feeling like you need another one? After attending a great women’s retreat, you might be ready to book your next vacation as soon as you’re back. It truly leaves you so relaxed and refreshed that you’re ready to do it again!

YOU DESERVE IT

Treat yourself to an experience you really deserve. A women’s retreat is a vacation all about YOU. You deserve it.

PRACTICE MINDFULNESS

On a women’s retreat, you can finally just BE. This is a really big reason to go on a women’s retreat. To be fully conscious of the moment you’re in.  Increase mindfulness. Most of the time, we live in the future – planning ahead or in the past – looking back on what happened throughout our lives.

HAVE A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Every retreat is different! Even if you return to the same place. Your frame of mind at the time is different. Some of the people will be different.  Booking a women’s retreat will always result in a unique experience. As you grow within, each retreat will be different as you continue to grow within yourself.

If you’re on the fence about booking a women’s retreat for your next vacation just think, what other vacation has 15 reasons that benefit you? Check out our next two Retreats coming up: The Art of Living and Rhythm for Your Soul and be on your way to a better vacation!
