What’s Coming Up
WEEKLY UPDATE – PART 3
Yesterday I shared about the Lion’s Gate, today I will share more about the New Moon in Leo Energy. I invite you to join me this morning for a New Moon in Leo Ritual at 9:00 am EDT inside the Holistic Wellness Lounge. If you are not up, on this Sunday morning, then you can catch the replay.
I often get comments like, I don’t believe in Moon Medicine. And that’s fine, you don’t need to. As I always say, take what you need and leave the rest. But one of things that I want you to think about is that the Moon affects the ocean’s tides. We consist of up to 60% water, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, the lungs are about 83% water, the skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. So, if we are made up of this much water, how would it NOT be possible for us to be affected by Moon Medicine?
Leo season follows the Cancer season which gives us a much needed break after all the heightened emotions that surface during that time. Leo season is all about charisma, social engagement, and a strong dose of glamour. And as of this morning at 9:51 am EDT, we are at the peak of this New Moon in Leo as we entered the Lion’s Gate Portal making it even more fiery.
Leo Energy is a fire element. Element of fire moons are very active. These are great times to get something started. Being physically active during this time is important. Tapping into ideas seems to come more naturally. Great time for generating excitement.
This is your time to shine! During this time, do something with confidence; show the world ‘what you’ve got’. The Leo Moon is very creative and even artistic. Tune in to this Moon to organize something fun.
We need to watch out for impulsivity, being wary of the outcome, and being direct may be a problem. You will need to weigh the pros and cons of a situation, and also ask yourself, is this useful or helpful info.
It will be important to use this moon for taking action. This is a good time to amplify your workouts, start a new physical activity. And it’s a great time to reorganize, declutter, get things in order.
New Moon in Leo
This is the time of the month when the moon and the sun are on the same side of the Earth. To us on Earth it looks like the dark side of the moon is facing us.
Historically during this time, women took time away from everyone during this time, as it represents the menstrual cycle, the menses.
The new moon is about fresh starts. This is a time to retreat to regain strength to start again.
The themes during this time: new beginnings, fresh starts, clean slates.
This is your time to “reboot intensely”. Visualize filling yourself up to recharge under the energy of this new moon. Throw away all unwanted thoughts and excess “junk”.
Give yourself as much alone time as possible. Embrace any feelings of wanting to be alone to introspect. As the Grandmother Moon shifts to her dark side to us, turn yourself inward, move away from the energy of others, take time for yourself.
What to expect?
The Lion’s Gate energy presence of the Lion’s Gate energy aligns with the heart center. It embodies the Leo traits of courage, strength, and expression. This time is centered on unconditional love.
During this time, we are pushed to let go of whatever isn’t serving our highest and best transformation. This can be things like toxic relationships, outdated ways of thinking, or the need to be less than we are because someone else believes that’s how it should be. The time is now.
During this New Moon in Leo’s Lion’s Gate activation, take care to:
- Take some time to yourself.
- Drink more water.
- Slow down your mind.
- Rest when possible.
- Stay away from activities that
- Don’t engage in activities that you might find frivolous or draining.
- Take time to journal.
You may feel emotional or exhausted. It will be important to take time to reset and nurture yourself.
