Qi Gong PracticumHealing with Diane
Qi gong is translated as “energy work.”. This is a centuries-old system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation. It is said that the purposes of health and spirituality and as a practice to cultivate and balance qi which translates as “life energy”.
This practice involves using a moving meditation, coordinating slow-flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm meditative state of mind. Qi gong is used for recreation, exercise, relaxation, preventive medicine, self-healing, alternative medicine, meditation, self-cultivation, and training for martial arts.
Rollie Allaire and Diane Denomme are learning this practice to prepare for certification. They are looking for volunteers who are willing to practice as they learn to teach what they have learned.
There is no cost for these practice sessions, however, Rollie and Diane ask that if you commit, you honour that commitment.
Healing with Diane
Each week at Bridging the Gap Wellness Center, Diane shares her passion about Qi Gong as she completes her practicum hours as a Qi Gong Facilitator. Currently these classes are free of charge until completion of her certification. Throughout the weekend, she will share movement with the group of women.
