Yesterday we entered a 🌑 NEW MOON: Phase 1 – New Beginnings. This is the time of the month when the moon and the sun are on the same side of the Earth. To us on Earth it looks like the dark side of the moon is facing us.
Give yourself as much alone time as possible. Embrace any feelings of wanting to be alone to introspect. As the Grandmother Moon shifts to her dark side to us, turn yourself inward, move away from the energy of others, take time for yourself. Visualize filling yourself up to recharge under the energy of this new moon. Throw away all unwanted thoughts and excess “junk”.
We also entered into the ♋ Cancer💧Water Energy. Water Moons are emotional, psychic, and mysterious. Cancer in particular cover the themes of home and family, domestic life, and privacy.
Immediately after the 🌑 New Moon we move into the 🌒 WAXING CRESCENT MOON: Phase 2 – Setting Intentions. This is the time of the fastest increase in its visible size as the sun starts to move closer to the new moon and begins to lighten up. A crescent appears until it grows into a first-quarter moon.
We experience courage, moving forward, and faith during this time, which lasts about a week.
Its energy is correspondingly active and dynamic. Ancient druids regarded it as the most auspicious time to work creative magic – to catch the rising tide. The potential of the new Moon is starting to manifest. This is the time for setting intentions, hopes, wishes, writing cheques to the universe, or burying your crystals. After recharging under the newness of Grandmother Moon, your desires are ready to be planted.

As we shift out of the ♋ Cancer💧Water Energy early this morning, we then move into the 🌚⚠️ VOID MOON (VOC) 🌙. In this particular case, this position is very short as we move into the ♌ Leo🔥Fire Energy will begin at 6:05 pm EDT where the Fire Energy is fiery, impulse, and passionate. Leo Moons in particular are fun, creativity, kids (your own or someone else’s), and flirtation.
It’s time to show off a little! Leo is the showstopper sign of the zodiac and when the Moon makes her monthly trek through Leo, you can be sure someone somewhere is turning heads. if you need to do something with confidence, Leo Moon Day is a great place to start.

The ♌ Leo Moon is also very creative and even artistic. It’s a day to the world “what you’ve got”. Don’t hide would be a total waste of the energies. Any showbiz-related razzamatazz is very well “starred” (Mooned) today, too. So tune in to the Leo Moon, and organize something fun to do.

As we continue in the ♌ Leo 🔥Fire Energy we will be moving into a longer 🌚⚠️ VOID MOON (VOC) 🌙. The rest of this day starting at 1:00 pm EDT we will be shifting energies. Moon Medicine is about self-reflection. Grandmother Moon reflects back what we need to look at, what we need to face, what we need to resolve.
During this time, we are transitioning between one Zodiac sign to the next, but isn’t reflecting elements/making any major aspects with either sign …. this is the gap between those transitions. Sometimes it’s very short spurts while other times it’s looong. It can last minutes, hours, and sometimes, even days.
During a Void of Course Moon, it gives us the time to just sit with the energy. If you can avoid doing anything during this time, then just sit with it in silence. Don’t start anything “big” or “important”.

As we spent most the time sleeping off the end of the 🌚⚠️ VOID MOON (VOC) 🌙, most of us will be starting our waking hours in the beginning of the ♍ Virgo ⛰️ Earth Energy starting at 6:35 am EDT. This is a another Earth Moon where the main themes of this particular Earth Moon is about service to others, duties, daily working life, well-being, and small animals, which will carry forward into next week.

⛰️ Earth Energy is grounding, practical and stable.
It’s time to settle down a little after two and a bit days of the Leo madness. The Virgo Moon makes sure all the things on its desk are present and correct, and starts to do whatever it has to in order to keep life ticking over as it’s meant to. It is a wonderful day to take stock, crunch the members and get a pretty good idea of where you are in life.
A Virgo Moon Day is ideal for operating more efficiently or functioning better. It’s also a very good day to think about your diet and general health regimes, access treatment of some kind for an ailment, and complementary medicine (but do see a GP if pain persists).

Most of the day we will still be active in the ♍ Virgo ⛰️ Earth Energy as we enter another very short 🌚⚠️ VOID MOON (VOC) 🌙 from 6:24 pm – 6:56 pm EDT.
The ☁️ Air Energy that we will be carrying over into next week allows us to be chatty, flighty, and intellectual. But the ♎ Libra themes in particular focus on you, your significant others, lovers, VIPs, foes, balance, harmony, marriage, and relationships.
Libra is the sign of partnership and relationships, so when the Moon is in the sign, it’s a wonderful time to turn your mind to romantic matters. And also to business matters involving partnerships. Are you giving and taking in equal amounts? Do you need to make your move on someone you have your eye on? Make peace with an ex you’ve loved and lost.
Libra loves to negotiate. If you have a personal or professional matter on which you’d like to reach an agreement, all things being equal this is the right day to start the conversation. Shower the people you love with love, wine, and dining.
And we are still carrying the 🌒 WAXING CRESCENT MOON: Phase 2 – Setting Intentions as we prepare to enter the 🌓 FIRST QUARTER MOON tomorrow.
