YOU, as a whole person, aren’t limited to diet and exercise or meditation.

Whole-person well-being is understanding, tracking, and balancing all of life’s dimensions – everything you think, feel, and do – for your optimal health and vitality.

During this week-long training, we will explore the 12 dimensions identify these areas that you can manage and improve.

Everything is connected.

What you think and feel affects your eating.

Your relationships, exercise level, and eating habits affect how you manage stress.

How you find meaning in life affects your personal and professional relationships as well
as your attitudes and choices for health and wellness.

This approach helps you make better choices to improve specific aspects of your life
and manage your actions based on

1) deeper understanding of yourself and

2) more clarity about your current motivations.

It’s an ongoing process.

Concepts Covered During This Training

Self-responsibility + Love

Wellness is like a bridge supported by two piers. Each pier is crucial to the bridge’s integrity just as the two principles of self responsibility and love are fundamental to the wellness process. 

Breathing

Breathing is a primary source of our energy. Mindful breathing can be used to focus our mind, heighten sensory awareness, and calm our emotions, allowing us to be more present.

Sensing

Sensing enables us to navigate our external and internal environments and heighten our situational awareness through the experience of sight, touch, sound, odor and taste, and our internal sensory capacity.

Eating

Eating fresh, whole foods in moderation is a primary means of nourishing ourselves and providing energy to support optimal living and performance.

Moving

Moving is a basic expression of our life energy. Maintaining a dynamic balance of movement and rest is essential to our health and wellbeing.

Feeling

The expression of feeling – fear, sadness, anger, joy – serves to motivate both thought and action and acts as an internal guidance system.

Thinking

Our mind can be our best friend or greatest enemy. Being mindful of our thinking enables us to make positive choices for personal wellbeing.

Playing + Working

Balancing work and play enables us to recharge, supports our personal health and wellbeing, and gives us energy to live optimally and perform at a higher level.

Communicating

Communicating enables us to share our internal world of thoughts and feelings with others, allowing us to convey our wants and needs.

Intimacy

Intimacy is a major component of personal wellbeing. The foundation of intimacy is trust, which allows for authentic connection, whether with friends, family or significant other.

Finding Meaning

The search for meaning involves basic questions: Who am I? Why am I here? Addressing these questions and acting with clarity and purpose encourages focus and balance in our lives.

Transcending

Transcending has three aspects: It is overcoming obstacles; it is the experience of flow‒of being fully awake and engaged in the present moment; it is the spiritual dimension of our lives.
