Talk Back Thursday is a Livestream chat and Podcast about a particular topic. The topics are randomly chosen, usually based on a request or a theme that has been coming up. It is set up so that people can come and join in the discussion Live. There were a few times last year that we randomly had that happen. It was great to simply have these random conversations.

Full Moon

In today’s Podcast Episode, I want to talk about the importance of embracing change, adapting to life’s curveballs, and prioritizing self-care.

Yesterday (Wednesday, April 12, 2023), we had a fantastic conversation with Morry on our Weekly Interview Series. One of the key takeaways from our discussion was how our beliefs and plans can change over time. It’s essential to have a plan and a general idea of where we’re heading, but we must also be open to the possibility that our journey might not look exactly as we envisioned it.

In manifesting, we’re often told to visualize every detail of our desired outcome – the smell, the feeling, and the overall sensory experience. While some people might achieve their goals precisely as they imagined, most of us will find that life throws unexpected obstacles and opportunities our way. That’s why it’s crucial to go with the flow and adapt to change.

When I started Talkback Thursdays in 2023, I intended to host them every Thursday. However, life happened, and I wasn’t able to stick to that schedule. I had to learn to let go of my rigid expectations and embrace a more flexible approach.

In the midst of all the busyness and change, it’s easy to neglect our own needs and self-care. I found myself becoming sick, a clear sign that I was not taking care of myself properly. I have not been this sick since 2019.

I have a lovely supportive and encouraging group of amazing women to remind me that I needed to prioritize my own well-being, just as I would encourage them to do. I showed up to facilitate my Yoga Nidra session. However, they encouraged me to participate in a yoga nidra session with them, rather than leading it myself. This act of self-care was a game-changer for me. Not because I don’t practice self-care, but because the women that I support are able to recognize and reflect back what they have learned through me.

I realized that I needed to adjust my expectations and go with the flow, allowing myself the time and space to heal and recover. I still feel like the entire month of March was a “bust” of what I needed to get accomplished, but I am now on the mend and able to function more effectively.

The message I want to share with you today is simple: go with the flow and make sure you’re meeting your own needs. Life will always throw challenges our way, but it’s crucial to adapt and prioritize self-care. Stay tuned for next week’s Talkback Thursday, and until then, have a fabulous week!

Every week, we enjoy the company and wisdom of a FEATURED GUEST.

Are you ready to stand in your truth and feel fulfilled so you can finally achieve all your desires?

This is the work I’m passionate about. I work with successful women who feel disempowered in their personal relationships to stand in their truth and communicate with confidence.

If you’re ready to discover the #1 block keeping you from standing in your truth and communicating with confidence in your relationships, join me for a complimentary Stand In Your Truth Call.

I strongly believe that each person has the ability to heal themselves and that my job is to bridge the gap between the client and the methods that best suit their process. No matter what our experience in life we can change our lives by taking action and not staying stuck. By helping ourselves, we help others who are struggling with similar experiences. No one comes through this world without struggle, but it’s how we move through those struggles that get us to the other side.
